William Wirt (Billy) Wilhoit

Mr. William Wirt “Billy” Wilhoit age 78 of Warrenton entered into rest Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at his residence.

A celebration of life service will be held at 5:00 P.M., June 12, 2026 at the Raysville Boat Club Clubhouse 6584 Lincolnton Highway Thomson, GA 30824

Mr. Wilhoit, a native and lifelong resident of Warren County, GA was the son of the late Mrs. Marian Stewart Wilhoit and Mr. Wirt Fountain Wilhoit.  A 1966 graduate of Warren County High School, Billy furthered his education by graduating from the University of Alabama in 1971. A retired businessman, Billy was the publisher of the Hometown Directory.  A star football player, Billy, loved to hunt and fish.

Survivors include his daughter, Shelley Wilhoit of Warrenton; a son, Ryan Wilhoit (fiancé Tiffany Travis) of Moody, AL; three sisters, Lyn Wilhoit (Don) Pesek of Warrenton, Beth Wilhoit of Greensboro, and Jo Wilhoit (Alton) Johnson of Warrenton; four grandchildren, Cash Wilhoit, Branson Wilhoit, Cruise Dickey, and Berkeley Wilhoit.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the Warren County Volunteer Fire Department P. O. Box 46 Warrenton, GA 30828.
