Mr. Watson Franklin Palmer, age 76, son of the late Mr. Lewis Daniel Palmer, Jr. and Mrs. Annie Kate McNair Palmer of Wrens, GA entered into rest Saturday, September 27, 2025, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Zoar Church with the Revs. Chad Watkins and Faye Burgamy officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Palmer, a native of Birmingham, AL, was raised in Wrens, GA graduating from Wrens High School in 1967. After graduation, he continued his education at Middle Georgia College graduating in 1969. A proud member of the US Marine Corps, Mr. Palmer served in Vietnam. He was a retired welder with Seaman Westinghouse and a member of the Wrens United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Colleen Palmer Gunn of Wingham, Ontario, Canada; son, Thomas James “T.J.” Palmer of Dundalk, Ontario, Canada; two sisters, Glenda Palmer (Harold) Howard of Stapleton, GA and Shirley Palmer of Wrens, GA; one brother, Mickey R. (Rosella) Palmer of Stapleton, GA; two grandchildren, Michaela (Nat) Gunn and Sidney Gunn.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. till the hour of service in the sanctuary at Zoar Church.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Palmer, Cory Palmer, and Adam Howard.
