Walter Furman (Doug) Ballard, Jr.

Stapleton, GA -  Mr. Walter Furman (Doug) Ballard, Jr. age 57, entered into rest Sunday, August 16, 2020 at University Hospital - Augusta.

A gathering of family and friends will take place at 4:00 P.M. Thursday, August 20, 2020 at the residence of Sandra and Wayne Hayes  5671 Deans Bridge Road Blythe, GA.

Mr. Ballard a native of Rock Hill, SC was the son of Mrs. Betty Jean Lucas Ballard and the late Mr. Walter Furman Ballard, Sr.  Mr. Ballard was a self employed carpenter and truck driver.

In addition to his mother, survivors include three daughters, Kimberly (Dustin) Hale of Wrens; Jamie (Michael) Pruitt of Texas;and Kristy (Joey) Fritz of Waynesboro; one son. Phillip Haynes of Royston; two sisters, Terrie (Randy) Askew of Augusta and Sandra (Wayne) Hayes of Blythe; one brother, Jeff (Angela) Ballard of Hephzibah and seven grandchildren.
