WARRENTON, GA – William Wayne Coxwell, 90, beloved husband for 65 years of Lois Davis Coxwell, entered into rest February 21, 2014 at Doctors Hospital, Augusta. Wayne was born in Warren County, Georgia to WL and Bessie Todd Coxwell on July 23, 1923. He was a Warren County resident and member of Johnson United Methodist Church all of his life.
Wayne served his country in the Merchant Marines and United States Army. He was a cattle farmer and retired from Uniroyal Corporation.
In addition to his wife he is survived by one son, Herschel (Barbara) of Martinez, beloved grandson, Asa Coxwell and dear friend Blane Purdy of Grovetown, one brother Lewie (Lawana) Coxwell, Warrenton, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted Sunday, February 23rd at 3:00 pm in the Johnson United Methodist Cemetery, Warrenton. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 22nd from 5-7 pm, Lowe Funeral Home, Warrenton. If so desired, memorials may be made to Johnson United Methodist Church c/o Tommy Johnson, 7731 Bastonville Rd., Warrenton, GA 30828.
