Virginia (Spray) Johnson

WARRENTON, GA  -  Mrs. Virginia Spray “Ginny” Johnson age 74 wife of Mr. Terry M. Johnson of Johnson Road died Friday morning August 3, 2018 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday morning, August 6, 2018 at the Johnson United Methodist Church with the Revs. Don Richards and Jessica Blackwood officiating.  Burial will follow in the Johnson Cemetery.

Mrs. Johnson a native of Sioux Falls, SD was the daughter of the late Mae Chalker Spray and Marshall Dean Spray.  A Warren County resident since 1970, Mrs. Ginny was retired from Citizens Bank as head bookkeeper after 23 years of service.  She was an active member of the Johnson United Methodist Church and the Adult Sunday School Class. In addition, Mrs. Johnson was a 1962 graduate of the Academy of Richmond County.

Additional survivors include her daughter and son–in-law, Shannon Johnson Blythe and David Blythe of Fairhope, AL; three grandchildren, Claire Johnson Blythe, Sophie Chapman Blythe, and Preston William Abbott Blythe; two sisters, Janice (Bill) Mutimer of Evans, GA and Bobbie (Randy) Colvin of Macon, GA.  Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her brother, Terry Dean Spray.

Pallbearers will be nephews.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 5:00 P.M. Sunday evening at Lowe Funeral Home.
