Thomas “Tony” Anthony Greene

Warrenton, GA – Mr. Thomas Anthony Greene, age 78, entered into rest Thursday, September 15, 2022, at his residence.

Tony was the son of the late Mr. Artis Greene and Mrs. Grace Chalker Greene.  He was a 1961 graduate of Largo High School.  After high school Tony attended Technical School.  Mr. Greene was a retired truck driver and attended Grace Baptist Church in Camak.  Tony loved the Lord, his family and was a great dad.  His family described him as a man who loved the Lord and enjoyed fellowship with his family and those of his church family as well. His family said when you visited him and was about to leave, Tony would always say. “I love you; I will see you later and keep the good Lord on your mind and don’t stop praying”. 

Survivors include his daughter, Jessica Jo Greene Jackson (Brent), of Glascock County; two sons, Lancer Thomas Greene of Warrenton and Stacey Thomas Greene (Beverly Jo) of Glascock County; two sisters, Pam G. Duckworth (Tommy) of Warrenton and Carol L. Chester of Texas; brother, Art Greene (Laura Ellen) of Athens; four grandchildren, Samantha Ryan Le (Antonio ), Casey Joanna Ford (Scott), Lily Grace Jackson, and Luke Garrett Jackson; three great-grandchildren, Piper Rain Ford, Liam Kingston Le, and Ryan Elana Le.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 18, 2022, in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jesse Bowen officiating.  Interment will follow in Scruggs Cemetery Norwood, Georgia.   

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
