Mrs. Sylvia Ann Quandt
Thomson, GA – Mrs. Sylvia Ann Quandt, age 77, beloved wife of 57 years to Mr. David Thomas Quandt, entered into rest on Monday, September 1, 2025, at Wellstar Augusta.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 6, 2025, in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, with Barbara Turner officiating. Interment will follow at a later date at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mrs. Quandt was born in Durham, England, but spent most of her life in the United States. She was the daughter of the late Crowder Watson Maxwell and Jean Adamson Maxwell. Ann worked as a nurse, and a Rape Response Advocate for victims, before dedicating herself to being a homemaker, a devoted wife to her husband who proudly served his country, and a loving mother to their children. She was a member of the Church of England.
Ann was known for her caring spirit, always ensuring her family was well cared for and supported through the many aspects of military life. She was also exceptionally creative, with a passion for arts, crafts, and painting. One of her favorite pastimes was creating unique works of art with emu eggs, designing intricate scenes such as nativity, wilderness landscapes, animals, and other wildlife.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, David Thomas Quandt; two daughters, Leslie Ann Quandt Bueno (Daniel) and Davida Ann Quandt Simpson (Jarrett); and three grandchildren, Kaileigh Gallegos (Hugo), Cora Simpson, and Anna Simpson.
