Sharon Elaine Sheppard
Gibson, GA – Ms. Sharon Elaine Sheppard, 78, entered into rest Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Piedmont Hospital Augusta. Ms. Sheppard was the daughter of the late Mr. Buford Lamar Sheppard and Mrs. Martha Brown Sheppard.
Funeral services will be held at Noon, Saturday, October 12, 2024, in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel, with a host of family officiating. Burial will follow in Culverton Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Ms. Sheppard was born in Hancock County but lived all her adult life in Glascock County. She was a homemaker and a member of Gibson First Baptist Church. Ms. Sheppard enjoyed playing Scrabble and card games, fishing, going to yard sales, cooking, and collecting dolls and various knick-knacks. Most of all, she enjoyed raising her grandchildren and spending time with her family, grandpuppies, and kittens.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Dean McCook, Angela Sheppard Gray, Regina Washington, and Rosemary Sheppard Washington, and a brother Joseph Lamar Sheppard. Survivors include her daughters, Shari Sivell of Savannah and Shelly Sivell of Warrenton, six grandchildren, Spirit Luna of Gibson, Shiann Sivell of Lagrange, Michael Daniel of Thomson, Jamie Daniel of Toccoa, David Lyons of Warrenton, and Lacy Sivell of Gibson; a sister, Brenda Anglin and husband Jerry of Thomaston; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and extended family that she loved dearly.
Pallbearers include David Lyons, Jamie Daniel, Michael Daniel, Mark Phillips, Daniel Phillips, and Kevin Phillips. Honorary Pallbearers are Ron Anglin, Jerry Anglin, and Colen Todd Sr.
