Sandra Gay Ringo, 83, of Thomson, GA, entered into the presence of her Lord on Thursday, April 11, 2025 after a short battle with cancer. She was born on February 16, 1942 in Dekalb, TX to Rosa Mae (Huckabay) Locke and William Henry Locke.
Sandra is survived by her daughter Carol Ann Tillman and husband Randy, her son Bobby Cayton and wife Lisa, and her step-daughter Tracy Ringo Guynes and husband Bert. Survivors also include grandchildren Joe Tillman, Lia Fricke, Jennifer Stormer, Sean Tillman, Chris Stormer, Jordan Cayton, Taylor Cayton, Ashton Tillman and Tara Tillman, great-grandchildren Elizabeth Haynes, Tyler Custard, Brenen Stormer, Savannah Tillman, Taylen Stormer, Kenzie Stormer, Cheyenne Stormer and Arlo Fricke. Sandra is also survived by her sweet sisters Margie Heaton and Linda Donovan, brother Billy Locke, many nieces and nephews, cousins and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Wayne Ringo; her daughter Susan Diane Cayton; her mother Rosa Mae Locke; father, William Henry Locke; brother Bobby Locke; and nephew Jason Locke.
Sandra was a faithful follower of our Lord Jesus Christ and was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. She loved sharing the word and was involved in bible study groups and the development and management of the Crisis Closet. She lived a life rooted in faith, devoted to Christ, and guided by the teachings of the Holy Bible.
Sandra travelled the world during the 1970’s and 1980’s, living in Europe, and various places in the United States before returning to Texas. She worked as a teller at Huntsville National Bank and retired from the Texas Department of Corrections. Visitation will be held Monday, April 21, 2025 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Heritage Oak Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 22 at Riverside Baptist Church in Riverside, Texas beginning at 11:00am with interment to follow at Brooke Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations should be made to Riverside Baptist Church, P.O. Box 9, Riverside, TX 77367.
