Mrs. Rita Kaye Howard, age 62 of Main Street Warrenton entered into rest Saturday, December 26, 2020 at her residence.
Because of the families respect and concern for public health and safety during this COVID-19 pandemic, there will be a celebration of life held at a later date.
Kaye a native of McDuffie County, GA was the daughter of the late Winifred Jennings Edmunds and Harold Edmunds. She was a retired art teacher with the McDuffie County Board of Education. In addition, she also retired from CVS/Revco with 21 years of service. A member of the First Baptist Church of Thomson she had been a resident of Warrenton since 1996.
Survivors include her sister, Jane Edmunds of Warrenton, a “special daughter” Tammie Rhodes of Thomson, a “special granddaughter” Emma Rhodes of Athens, a niece, Meg (Stevie) Williams of Avera, nephews, Randy (Lori) Tucker of Evans, Rod (Anne) Tucker of Appling, and Stacey (Leslie) Tucker of Norwood.
She was preceded in death by a sister Becky Edmunds Tucker and a brother Harold Jackson Edmunds.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Kaye Howard Memorial Fund at Maxwell Elementary School 520 Mt Pleasant Road Thomson, GA 30824 or to the GCG Scholarship Fund, Warrenton Garden Club C/O Mrs. Beth Bean 207 Davis Street Warrenton, GA 30828.
