Mitchell, Glascock County – Mr. Ralphael Reese Bell, age 83, widower of Mrs. Jeanette Willis Bell, passed away on February 27, 2025, in Statesboro, Georgia. He was the son of the late Perry Nash Bell, Sr and Estelle Wilcher Bell.
Ralph was a native of Sandersville, Georgia, but lived most of his young life in Culverton, Georgia and was a 1959 graduate of Sparta High School. Mr. Bell retired from TermNet Merchant Services with 25 years of service as director of sales. A Veteran of the Army National Guard, Mr. Ralph joined the fellowship of Jewell Baptist Church in 1952 and had been an active member serving as Sunday school teacher, leading prayer meeting, and the cemetery sexton.
Mr. Bell is survived by his son, Reese Bell and wife Joy Kay; two daughters, Veletta Presley Reed and husband Cary and Celina Hansen and husband Dennis; brother, James Bell and wife Cindy; grandchildren, Kayden Bell, Alanna Reed Evans and husband David, Jonathan Reed and wife Megan, David Wildebrandt, III, Will Wildebrandt, Fallin Wildebrandt, and Presley Hansen; and great grandchildren, Noah Evans, Layla Evans and Henry McDonald. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and brother Perry Bell.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, March 8th, 2025, in Jewell Baptist Church with Reverend David Miller and James Bell officiating. Burial will follow in the Jewell Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of service at the church.
Pallbearers will be Cary Reed, David Wildebrandt,III, Kayden Bell, David Evans, Noah Evans, Wayne Bell, Paul McCorkle, and Ashley Bynum.
