Norwood, GA - Mrs. Anna Mae Coker “Granny” Ashley, age 85, beloved wife of the late Mr. Henry Grady Ashley, Sr. of Massengale Street died Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at University Hospital – McDuffie.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the Norwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Brian George officiating. Burial will follow in the Scruggs Cemetery. Mrs. Ashley will lie in state one hour prior to funeral services.
Mrs. Ashley, a native of Danielsville, GA was the daughter of the late Mack and Ruby Roberts Coker. A Warren County, GA resident for many years she was an active member of the Norwood Baptist Church and the TEL Sunday School Class.
Survivors include three daughters, Margaret (John) Brooks, Thomson, GA Betty Jo (Lester) Hadden,Warrenton, GA, Diane (Jeff) Crunkelton, Gibson, GA, two sons, Henry Grady (Barbara) Ashley, Jr., Sparta, GA, Terry (Marie) Ashley, Thomson, GA, three sisters, Doris Leggett, Thomson, GA, Pat Bowick, Perry, GA, Mel ( Randy) Rourk, Grovetown, GA, two brothers, Horace Coker, Danielsville, GA, Harrell Coker, Dearing, GA, thirteen grandchildren, Dewayne (Lynn) Wood, Becky (Paul) Lowe, John (Joan) Wood, Tracy (Mike) Madden, Phyllis (Robert) Rosier, Jason (Kelli) Brooks, Clay Crunkelton, Lane (Nicole) Crunkelton, Ashley (Robert) Carroll, Jodie Ashley, Dale (Ruby) Ashley, Ken Ashley, Jimmy (Hope) Akers, Angie (Stanley) Phillips, Darlene Williams, LeeAnn (Mike) Gurley, Jennifer Small, Tammy Kelley and Thirty Seven great grandchildren. Mrs. Ashley was preceeded in death by two sons, Jimmy Ashley and Ray Ashley and one granddaughter, Melissa Brooks.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Friday evening at Lowe Funeral Home.
