WARRENTON, GA - Miss Ethel L. Norris, age 101, of Linda Lane died Thursday morning at Higher Living Personal Care Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Mill Creek Baptist Church, Glascock County, GA with Dr. Clifford Drawdy officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Miss Norris, a native of Warren County was the last of nine children born to the late Addie Kitchens Norris and E. T. Norris. She was a graduate of the Macon School of Nursing and retired as a Registered Nurse. In addition, Miss Norris taught nursing in Macon for 30 years and continued to work until she was 86 years old serving everyone she met.
Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Hank Tinley, Allen Haywood, Karl Haywood, Rogers Shelton, Scott Shelton, and Andy Shelton.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM till the hour of service at Mill Creek Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, C/O Mr. Willis Johnson 4366 Five Points Jewell Road Mitchell, GA 30820.
