Mrs. Marjorie Hart Johnson age 90, beloved wife of the late Mr. Wilbur C. Johnson entered into rest Friday February 28, 2025.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. Monday, March 3, 2025, at the Johnson Church Cemetery with Rev. Jessica Blackwood officiating.
Mrs. Johnson, a native of Glascock County, GA was the daughter of the late Mrs. Celesta Todd Hart and Mr. Bennett A. Hart. A graduate of Georgia Women’s College, Mrs. Marjorie taught school in McDuffie and Glascock Counties before retiring from Briarwood Academy. A 61-year member of the DAR, Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Captain John Wilson Chapter. In addition, she was a member of the Cleopatra Chapter of the Eastern Star and an active member of the Johnson Church.
Survivors include three sons: Thomas R. (Kathy) Johnson of Warrenton and Tony H. (Marla) Johnson of Sandersville; six grandchildren, Andrew (Katy) Johnson, Maria Celeste Johnson, Reed Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Tyler (Savannah) Johnson, and Logan Johnson (Fiancé Zack Douglas); two great grandchildren, Bennett Johnson and Mack Johnson; Sister-in-law, Ponda Johnson; Brother-in-law, W. Larry Johnson and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Johnson Church C/O Mrs. Kathy Johnson 7731 Bastonville Road Warrenton, GA 30828.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. till the hour of service in the sanctuary of Johnson Church.
