Marion Thomas (Tommy) Murphy

McDuffie County (Dearing) – Mr. Marion Thomas Murphy, age 86, widower of Mrs. Edna Cooper Murphy, entered into rest, Saturday, July 13, 2024, Doctors Hospital.  He was the son of the late Eugene Murphy and Martha Gilpin Murphy.

Mr. Murphy was a lifelong resident of Dearing, McDuffie County, Georgia.  He was a retired welder and small engine mechanic.  Tommy was a navy veteran and a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Thomson.

Survivors include his nieces, Faye Murphy, Patricia Keeling, and Janice Howell; a nephew, Michael Davis; numerous great nieces and nephews. Mr. Murphy was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Cooper Murphy, a brother Edward Murphy and a niece Beverly Wesson. 

No Services will be held at the wishes of Mr. Murphy.
