Margurite English

WARRENTON, GA - Mrs. Margurite Simons English, 89, went to meet her Lord on Monday, April 3, 2017. Mrs. English was born February 23, 1928 in Warren County, GA. She was the youngest child of the late Mr. & Mrs. Zack Simons. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Wilson English, her siblings and grand-daughter, Kim Garner Lamb. She is survived by her three daughters, Anna Kelley (Ronnie) of Dearing, Nona Zeiler (Zeke) of Houston, Texas, Betty English of Warrenton, and her son Billy English (Jeannie) of Martinez eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

A 1945 graduate of Warren County High School, Mrs. English was a homemaker and a Avon Sales Representative for 28 years. In addition, Mrs. English was an active member of the Johnson United Methodist Church since 1951.

Her greatest joys throughout her life were her Lord, her family, and the art of china painting and by sharing God’s love and helping her neighbor. She left a significant spiritual legacy through her children and grandchildren by spreading the gospel of Christ throughout the world.

The pallbearers will be her grandsons, Evan English, Mark Zeiler, Jonathan English, Drew Zeiler, Austin English, and Tracy Kelley; Tony Reese and Ronald Coxwell.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 4:00 P.M. at Johnson United Methodist Church in Warren County. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Lowe Funeral Home.
