WARRENTON, GA - Mr. Lewie Benjamin Coxwell age 87, beloved husband of 67 years to Mrs. Lawana Chalker Coxwell died Monday evening at University Hospital – Augusta.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at the
Johnson Cemetery Warrenton with Rev. James Canada officiating.
Mr. Coxwell a native and lifelong resident of Warren County, GA was a retired welder , tool and die technician with JEBCO, Inc. and a cattle farmer. A U.S. Army veteran of WW II, Mr. Coxwell served in Germany, France, & England. Mr. Coxwell attended Magnolia Baptist Church in Gibson.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Betty Coxwell, Sandersville, GA, two sons, L. Dan (Judy) Coxwell, Washington, GA & Dennis (Fran) Coxwell, Warrenton, GA, 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Cheeley, Aaron Coxwell, Rhett Coxwell, Herchell Evans, Jack Leard, III, Adam Lee, Jon Lee, and Chad Mosley.
Honorary pallbearer will be Herschel Coxwell.
Friends may call at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Dennis Coxwell 307 Wilhoit Street Warrenton or from 10:00 A M till the hour of service at Lowe Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society 2623 Washington Road F-104 Augusta, Georgia 30904.
