Warrenton, GA – Mr. Johnnie Mack Coxwell, age 79, beloved husband of Mrs. Jane Hinesley Coxwell, entered into rest Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at his residence. He was the son of the late Alton Brasher Coxwell and Allene Simons Coxwell.
Mr. Coxwell a native and lifelong resident of Warren County, GA., was a 1962 graduate of Warren County High School. A Veteran of the U.S. Navy, Mr. Coxwell retired from Georgia Pacific with 35 years of service. Johnnie Mack loved his family especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a member of River View Hunting Club and Norwood Community Church.
Mr. Coxwell was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kellie Coxwell and a sister, June Coxwell Smith.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 58 years, Jane Hinesley Coxwell of Warrenton; daughter, Becky Coxwell Pinion (Marty) of Warrenton; son, Brent D. Coxwell (Katie) of Warrenton; five grandchildren, Alli Smith (Matt) of Calhoun; Keely McKellar of Washington; Austin Coxwell (Logan) of Gibson, Lewis Watkins (Brittney) of Evans and Lyle Watkins (Madeline) of Gibson; five great-grandchildren, Casen Smith, Cohen Smith, Thomas Watkins, Parker Kate Watkins, and Pearson Watkins and a brother, Jimmy J. Coxwell (Anne) of Thomson.
A Graveside Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Johnson Cemetery with Rev. Brian George officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Matt Smith, Austin Coxwell, Lewis Watkins, and Lyle Watkins.
