Obituary

Conyers- Mrs. Jewel Ivey Johnson, 85, entered into rest on December 23rd, 2022. She was born August 8th, 1937, to the late Mr. George Washington Ivey Sr. and Mrs. Myrtie Kelly Ivey. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Otis Johnson, brothers George Ivey Jr. and J.B. Ivey, and sister Reba Ivey. Jewel leaves behind her daughter Clair Jones, and son Randall Johnson, grandchildren Brian (Jill) Jones, and Matthew (Erika) Jones, great-grandchildren Jasper, Mattie, Theodore, and Walter Jones., nieces Jan Ivey and Lane Thrift, and nephew Todd (Robin) Ivey.

Jewel was a loving mother, grand-mommy, sister, and a friend to so many. Her hobbies included sewing and crafting along with being an excellent cook and an immaculate housekeeper. She was an active church member of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and going to watch her grandchildren play sports. Jewel was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.

Graveside Services for Mrs. Johnson will be held at 2pm Tuesday, December 27, 2022, in Johnson Cemetery.  The family will receive friends following the service.
