Jeremy Kyle “J-Rod” Garner
June 5, 1984 – March 10, 2026
Wrens- Jeremy Kyle Garner, known affectionately by his friends and coworkers as “J-Rod,” passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday morning, March 10, 2026. He was 41 years old. At the time of his passing, he was comforted by the presence of his devoted wife, Katie, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on June 5, 1984, Jeremy’s life was a testament to strength and grace. As a young man, he survived a severe automobile accident that resulted in multiple surgeries and a lifetime of physical pain. Yet, through these trials, Jeremy grew into a fine man of deep conviction and heart. A devoted Christian, his faith was the foundation of his kindness; he truly never met a stranger and treated everyone he encountered with genuine warmth and a servant’s heart.
Jeremy was a well-known face in the community throughout his career. He worked for several years at Wheeler True Value Hardware in Warrenton before moving to Wallace and Sons in Thomson, where he served as the Parts Manager. His hard work and "J-Rod" persona made him a staple of every team he joined.
He found peace and excitement in the simple joys of life: the company of his loyal dog, Rosie, and the roar of a NASCAR race, always cheering loudest for his favorite driver, Jeff Gordon. A true fan of traditional country music, the songs of Waylon Jennings often provided the soundtrack to his life.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Katie West Garner, and their infant son, Spencer Kyle Garner. He also leaves behind his parents, Reggie and Laurette Garner, and his in-laws, Julie and Brad West.
His memory will be cherished by his sister, Crystal Garner Lowe, her husband Alex, and their daughters, Madison and Savannah; his sister-in-law, Molly, and her husband CJ Usry, along with their children, Weston and Wrenleigh; and his brother-in-law, Jacob West.
The family wishes to extend their deepest appreciation to Pruitt Health Hospice for the compassionate and professional care provided to Jeremy during his final journey.
A celebration of Jeremy’s life and faith will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, March 12, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Warrenton with Dr. Brandon Furr officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow at 2:00 PM in Wrens Memorial Gardens Highway 80 Wrens, Georgia 30833.
Pallbearers will be Jacob West, CJ Usry, Ray Hill, Mike Hussey, Kyle Hussey, and Alex Lowe.
