Gibson – Mr. Dan Jeffrey “Jeff” Crunkelton, age 65, beloved husband of Mrs. Diane Ashley Crunkelton, entered into rest Tuesday, January 03, 2023, at Piedmont Augusta.
Mr. Crunkelton was born in Ocala, Florida, but lived all his life in Glascock County. The son of Mrs. Hilda Neal McCoy and the late W. C. Crunkelton. Jeff was retired as a Machinist from Georgia Iron Works and a Methodist by faith. He was a member of the Glascock County Booster Club and a former member of Gibson Lions Club.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father W. C. “Jack” Crunkelton; stepfather, Calvin McCoy; brothers, Bruce Crunkelton and Lavaughn Crunkelton. Survivors in addition to his wife include his sons, Clay Crunkelton and wife Mendy, and Lane Crunkelton, both of Gibson; daughter, Ashley Crunkelton of Gibson; Mother, Hilda Neal McCoy of Gibson; brother, Jack Crunkelton of Gibson; grandchildren, Matthew and wife Katelyn, Shelby, Macie, Anna Mae, Eli, Nathan, McKinley, Austin (Jess), Hawk and wife Caitlyn, Jackson, Montana-Grace, and Jesse; and his favorite companion Buttons.
A Funeral Service will be held at 3 pm Friday, January 6th at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barry Clanton officiating, burial will follow in Gibson City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm Thursday night at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Timmy Lampp, Hunter Lampp, Matthew Crunkelton, Tyler Sams, John Wood, and Dewayne Wood. Honorary Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
