Mr. James A. Todd, age 63, of Vidalia, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Community Hospice in Vidalia after a brief illness. He was born on August 13, 1961, to the parentage of the late Robert Todd and Ruby Reese Todd. He was raised by his father, the late Carroll Sorrow. In 1979, Mr. Todd was hired by Mr. Lyle Baird, and he worked faithfully at the Huddle House locations in Vidalia and Lyons, Georgia. He continued his dedicated service even after the Huddle House was rebranded as Roxy’s Diner, remaining a valued employee until his health declined.
Mr. Todd is survived by two brothers, Barrett (Beth) Sorrow of Vidalia, Georgia, and Mike Todd of Thomson, Georgia; four sisters, Judy Todd of Harlem, Georgia, Barbara (Rick) Todd, Angela (Gary) Sorrow Stewart Cox, and Peggy Sorrow Akers of Cornelia, Georgia. He was dearly loved by his numerous nieces and nephews, the Roxy’s Diner family, and many other relatives and friends.
James was a deeply loved and respected individual who touched many lives through his dedication, work ethic, and kind-hearted nature. His impact on both his family and his extended community at Roxy’s Diner and beyond will be remembered.
Graveside services will be held at 12 Noon March 17, 2025 at the Sallie Hill Cemetery - Warrenton, GA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made at Roxy’s Diner, located at 448 S State Street, Lyons, Georgia.
