James Donald (Jim) Stanley

Mr. James Donald “Jim” Stanley age 78, husband of the late Mrs. Ann Milford Stanley entered into rest Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at the Wellstar MCG Hospital - Augusta.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 26, 2025, at Westview Cemetery – Thomson with Matt Stanley and Mike McDonald officiating.

Mr. Stanley, a native of Tampa Florida, had been a resident of McDuffie County, GA since 1972. Jim was a retired maintenance worker with Georgia Iron Works and a Baptist by faith.

Survivors include three sons, Doug (Kay) Lord of Thomson, GA, Bobby Stanley of Dearing, GA, and Matt (Lauren) Stanley of Warrenton, GA; grandchildren Kaytie Lord (Joshua) Stagner, Macy Lord (Evan) Holbrook, Adam Stanley and Ryder Stanley to be born in December of 2025; Close family friends Jane and the late Billy Elmore, Shawn (Kelly) Elmore and Shannon Elmore (David) Emfinger.

Pallbearers will be James Shivers, Russell Tharpe, Shawn Elmore, C.J. Quarles, Janson Creager, and Eric Creager.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 9:00 P. M. Thursday evening at Lowe Funeral Home – Warrenton.
