James Wallace Adkins

WARRENTON, GA - Mr. James Wallace Adkins, age 65, of Cedar Street died Sunday evening July 3, 2016 at Doctors Hospital – Augusta.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday July 6, 2016 at Lowe Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Casper officiating. Burial will follow in the Sallie Hill Cemetery.

A native of Wilkes County, GA, Mr. Adkins was the son of Mrs. Ruby Adkins and the late Mr. James C. Adkins. A lifelong resident of Warren County, he was a 1969 graduate of Warren County High School and a retired farmer with Stewart Farms. Mr. Adkins was a member of Harvest Time Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Adkins of Warrenton, his mother, Ruby Adkins of Jewell, a son, Brent Adkins of Dearing, three daughters, Daphne McMunn of Lincolnton, Angela McVleen of Clinton, TN

Melissa Purvis of N. Augusta, SC, a sister, Lydia Grant of Crawfordville, a brother, Charles Adkins of Jewell, 11 Grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 – 9 :00 P.M. at Lowe Funeral Home.
