Jackie Spears House

Mrs. Jackie Spears House, age 87, beloved wife to the late Mr. Kermit Edward House entered into rest Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Piedmont McDuffie Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, October 19, 2025, at First Baptist Church of Warrenton with Dr. Brandon Furr officiating. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery in Thomson.

Mrs. House, a Warrenton resident since 1976, was the daughter of the late Mr. James M. Spears and Mrs. Daisy Light Spears. A 1956 graduate of East High School, Mrs. Jackie continued her education at Truett McConnell University.  A devoted homemaker for her family, she also retired after 24 years of service as an administrative/ministry assistant at First Baptist Church of Warrenton. As an active member of First Baptist and her community, Mrs. Jackie served faithfully as a member of the choir, Sunday School Teacher for over 40 years, member of the community choir, volunteer with the brown bag program, and the Warren County Chamber of Commerce.

Survivors include her daughter, Stephanie (Michael) Gilmer of Gibson, GA; four sons, Greg House of Thomson, GA, Randy (Teresa) House of Thomson, GA, Barry (Jamie) House of Thomson, GA, and Matt (Olyvia) House of Gibson, GA; one sister, Nedra J. Black of Conway, SC; seven grandchildren, Chad (Destiny) House, Sabrina (Jason) Burnett, Nikki (Ben) Farr, Jessica (Jamie) Farley, Breanna (Tyler) Phillips, Cameron House, Boone Gilmer, and Slade House; and twelve great grandchildren.  In addition to her husband, Mrs. House was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Chrystal Williams and a brother, Jim Spears.

Pallbearers will be Boone Gilmer, Slade House, Chad House, Jamie Farley, Tyler Phillips, and Hunter Floyd.

Friends may call at the residence of Michael and Stephanie Gilmer 4066 Bastonville Road Gibson, GA.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Saturday, October 18, 2025, in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church Warrenton.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church of Warrenton P.O. Box 512 Warrenton, GA 30828.
