Dorothy” Dottie” Mae Pettett
Cadley- Mrs. Dorothy “Dottie” Mae Pettett, 63, beloved wife of Mr. Michael David Pettett, entered into rest Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at her residence.
Mrs. Pettett was a native of Athens, Clark County, but had lived in Cadley for the last eight years. She was the daughter of the late Donald Bentley Sr. and Peggy Bentley. Dorothy was a homemaker and a member of New Providence Baptist Church in Cadley, Georgia. Mrs. Pettett was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. You could often find Dorothy doing what she loved; going to yard sales, arts, crafts, sewing and making things with her hands until her eyesight failed her.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Michael David Pettett, Cadley; two daughters, Christina Miller, Brunswick, Georgia, Bobbi Roby, Chatsworth, Georgia, three sons, Joshua Roby, Crossville, Tn., Carey Kellum, Brunswick, Georgia, Justin Bentley, Allenhurst, Georgia; brother, Donald Bentley, Jr. (Lora), Comer, Georgia; sister, Lilly Denson, Athens, Georgia; and numerous grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the residence.
