Mrs. Dixie Murphey Wiederaenders

Warrenton, Georgia – Mrs. Dixie M. Wiederaenders, age 77, wife of Mr. Jonathan G Wiederaenders, entered into rest on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at her home. She was the daughter of the late John Joseph Murphey and Louise Landrum Murphey.

Dixie was a native of Augusta, Richmond County, Georgia, but had lived in Warrenton most of her life.  She retired as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with over 20 years of service. Dixie was a member of Little Brier Creek Baptist Church and an Army Veteran.

She is survived by her husband Jonathan G. Wiederaenders of Warrenton; two daughters, Wendy Wiederaenders and Sara Hicks and husband David, both of Warrenton; two grandchildren, Stephanie Hicks and Jonathan Hicks; two sisters, Thora Peebles and Jackie Zets and husband Robert, both of Warrenton; and a brother, Terry Murphey of Statesboro.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
