Augusta, GA – Mrs. Cindy Mobley, 62, devoted wife to Chris Mobley, entered into rest on Friday, November 3, 2023.

Cindy was a country girl from Warrenton Georgia but made her life and home with her devoted husband Chris in Augusta for nearly thirty-eight (38) years. Cindy was proud to be Chris’ wife while having built their life around their two sons, Christopher and Brandon. She quickly included Jenni, Brandon’s wife, as her own daughter even before they married.

Cindy had a huge heart, genuine love, and compassion for all those she met.

She was a beloved Meme to grand-children, Brandt-Lee, Troy, and Raelynn Mobley. She loved them well and made sure to make them feel special when she was near.

Her advocacy of, and having been affected by, Lupus most her life, while also acting as a past president of the Lupus Chapter of Augusta, the family requests that any contributions be made out to the Lupus Foundation and will be given in the name of Cindy.

Family members beyond her husband, children and grandchildren include Aunt Lavern; first cousin, Russ (Wendy); brothers, Phil (Pam) and Art (Darlene); in-laws Tarnya (Richard), Connie (Nancy), Rick (Kathy); and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack & Ruby Redfern Hesson and Sister-in-Law, Linda Gail Corley.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 12 Noon at The Sanctuary of Augusta with Pastor Bryan Cockrell officiating.

A graveside service will be held in Jewell, GA, Tuesday November 7, 2023, beginning at 3:00 PM with Pastor Ralph Story officiating.

The family will receive friends Tuesday prior to the service at The Sanctuary of Augusta beginning at 11:30 AM and gathering again at Jewell Baptist at around 2:30 PM.
