Claudia Richards Usry
Gibson, GA – Ms. Claudia Richards Usry, 75, entered into rest Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Gibson Health and Rehab. Ms. Usry was the daughter of the late J.D. Richards and Mary Elizabeth Lokey Richards.
A private service will be held at a later date.
Ms. Usry was born in McDuffie County, Georgia and lived in Gibson since 2002. She was a 1969 graduate of Thomson High School and a Baptist by faith. Claudia retired as a medical secretary and could often be found on a pond or creek bank cane pole fishing. She was known for being an avid gardener, collecting and restoring antiques, crocheting or doing arts and crafts. Ms. Usry loved her family and was described by them as a spit fire.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Victoria Antonetti. Claudia is survived by a daughter, Mendy Crunkelton and husband Clay of Mitchell, Georgia; two sons, Michael Redfern and wife Leah of Seattle, Washington and Brett Usry and wife Courtney of Boerne, Texas; brother, David Richards of Thomson; brother-in-law, Miguel Antonetti of Birmingham, Alabama; twelve grandchildren, Austin Cole and fiancee Jessica, Hawk Cole and wife Caitlin, Matthew Crunkelton and wife Katelyn, Jackson Cole, Montana-Grace Cole, Jesse Cole, Macie Crunkelton, Daniel Redfern, Barrett Usry, Benson Usry, Beau Usry, and Boone Usry; three Great-grandchildren, Nate Cole, Scottie-Grace Cole, and Molly Cole; Nephews, Michael Antonetti and wife Ashton and Jonathan Antonetti and wife Rose; great niece, Avie Antonetti; and great nephew Gates Antonetti.
