Catherine Virginia Wren
Warrenton – Ms. Catherine Virginia Wren, age 93, entered into rest Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Silver Linings Personal Care Home in Stapleton.
Ms. Wren, a native of Glascock County, but a resident of Warren County for many years, was the daughter of the late Walter Calhoun Wren Sr. and Florrie Hadden Wren. Catherine was a retired Secretary from Langford Insurance with over forty years of service. She was a member of Reedy Creek Baptist Church, loved sports and was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves.
Survivors include sister, Bernice Jackson of Atlanta; Nieces and nephews, Eloise Wood, Billy Wren, Greg Wren, Bonnie Deal, Jenni Fleming, Jeffrey Jackson, Jean Roper, Janet Ergle, Diane Goldman, Donna Edwards, Carol Crews, Barry Wren, Jim Raley, Sherrie Gabriel, Rosemary Wren, Elaine Sheppard, and Lori Cope. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Klonnie Lewis and Mildred Raley: three brothers, Euell Wren, Allen Wren, and Walter C. Wren, Jr.
A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 7, 2023, in Reedy Creek Baptist Church with Rev. John Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in Wrens Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until the hour of service at the Church.
Pallbearers will be Greg Wren, Brett Gabriel, Gavin Gabriel, Billy Sheppard, Grayson Sheppard and Ronnie Deal.
