Mrs. Betty Anne Phillips age 81 of Gibson entered into rest Friday January 22, 2021.
Graveside services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Monday, January 25, 2021 at the Reedy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jim King officiating.
Because of the family’s respect and concern for public health and safety during this COVID-19 pandemic, the family request that social distancing and other safety precautions be followed. The wearing of face masks is strongly encouraged.
Mrs. Phillips a native of Atlanta was the daughter of the late Elsie Mae Davis Myers and Chester Myers. Once the family moved to Stapleton in 1979 she worked as a unit secretary in the Alcohol and Drug unit at Jefferson Hospital and Charter Hospital in Augusta. She finished her working career at Doctors Hospital in Augusta as Unit Secretary on the Diabetic Unit. In 2001 Mrs. Phillips moved to Gibson to be closer to family.
Survivors include four sons, David (Susan) Phillips of Dacula, GA, William (Charlotte) Phillips of Acworth, GA, Stanley (Angie) Phillips of Gibson, GA , and Mark (Von) Phillips of Stapleton, GA; 9 grandchildren, Calvin, Jr., Chip, Brian, David, Ryan (Amanda), Tyler (Breanna), Kevin (Sara), Heather (Josh) Bennett, and Daniel; two great grandchildren, Jocelynn Bennett and Amelia Phillips; two brothers, Charles (Donna) Myers, Villa Rica, GA,; Franklin Myers, Dallas, GA; a sister, Jerry Lynn Day, Tulsa, OK. Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane.
