Mr. William Chris Land age 67 husband of Mrs. Catherine M. Land of Warrenton, GA died peacefully November 2, 2021 at his home.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Land a native of Whiteville, NC was the son of the late Kathleen Williams Land Roberts and W.C. Land.   A retired electrical field engineer,   Chris was of the protestant faith that will be remembered for his love of fishing and his fur babies.  After retiring, he often volunteered with Southern Souls Rescue.

In addition to his parents, Chris was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Craig Land of Whiteville, NC.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Catherine (Cathy) Land of Warrenton; three sons, Christopher Allan (Crystal) Land, William Clint Land, and Nathan Garrel all of Whiteville, NC; one brother, John Ricky Land of Whiteville, NC; sister Margaret Day of Reston, VA; step father, Charles Roberts; sister in law, Ramona (Tom) Yeager of Richmond, OH; granddaughter, Hailey Dawn Land of Wilmington, NC; nieces, Lindsey Nicole Land of St. Petersburg, FL and Kelsey Yeager of Richmond, OH; nephew , Josh Yeager of Mingo Junction, OH.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be made to the Southern Souls Rescue 3902 Adams Chapel Road Harlem, GA 30814 or to the Mt. Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery Fund C/O Ms. Norma Langham 692 Mt Beulah Church Road Warrenton, GA  30828
