Wade Timothy Welch "Pops"

Augusta, GA – Mr. Wade Timothy Welch, age 59, entered into rest Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at his residence.

Wade was the son of Mrs. Shirley Malin Welch and the late Mr. John Edgar Welch.  He was a Maintenance Technician for many years before becoming medically disabled.  Mr. Welch was Pentecostal by faith and will be remembered as a loving son, Daddy and "Papa".  He was a motorcycle enthusiast and a lifelong Georgia Bulldog fan.  Wade had a heart of gold and a smile that would light up the room.

Survivors include his daughter, Holly Welch (Ronnie Hughes) of Hephzibah; Mother Shirley Welch of Augusta; his loving companion Yvette Sanders of Augusta; and three grandchildren, Tyler Seman, Savannah Seman, and Madison Hughes.

He was preceded into death by his father John Welch, brother Roy Welch, son Daniel Wade Welch, and stepson, Wesley Hartley, Jr.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dakota Sanders, Leonard Lee, Brandon Flippo, Jim Parsons, Tony McNair, Nick McGowan and Wesley Hartley Sr.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Hillcrest Memorial Park 2700 Deans Bridge Road Augusta, Georgia 30909 with Pastor Ray Reynolds officiating. In Wades honor the family would like everyone to wear black and red.

We want to give Wade the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes. In lieu of flowers we are asking for donations to help with his funeral.
