Ruth Peters

Blythe, GA – Mrs. Ruth Peters, age 73, widow of Mr. Warren Peters, entered into rest Sunday, November 06, 2022, at her residence.

Ruth was born in Augusta-Richmond County, Georgia to the late Mr. Harris Velton Lord and Ms. Mary Ivey Pequette. She worked in retail and hospitality for many years before retiring and enjoying her family.  Mrs. Peters was an avid gardener, enjoyed bird watching, and loved playing scrabble with her daughter Sheila.

Mrs. Peters was predeceased by her parents and husband.  Ruth is survived by a daughter, Sheila Allen and husband Richard Allen Jr. of Blythe, granddaughter Fancy Peterson and husband Daniel Peterson, grandson Jonathon Norman and wife Ashton Norman, both of Harlem, great-grandchildren, Bristol and Stevie Peterson both of Harlem; brother, Don Lord and wife Pam Lord of Jackson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private. No public visitation will be held.
