WARRENTON, GA  -  Mrs. Ruby Mae Thornton Adkins age 85, beloved wife of the late Mr. James Carl Adkins of Ansley Road entered into rest Friday evening Oct. 26, 2018 at her residence.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Jewell Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Ralph Story officiating.

Mrs. Adkins was a native of Wilkes County, GA was the daughter of the late Nettie Wheatley Thornton and Frank Thornton however, she had been a resident of Warren County for over 68 years.   She was a graduate of Wilkes County High School and a retired housekeeper with the Reynolds Plantation and a member of Jewell Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Lydia A (Perry) Grant of Crawfordville; her son, Davis Charles Adkins of Warrenton; a daughter in law, Mary Wrenn Adkins of Warrenton; three grandchildren, Brent Adkins, Daphne (Eric) McMunn, and Lindsey (Tim( Duvall, four great grandchildren, Amber McMunn, Dalton McMunn, Austin Duvall, and Autumn Duvall. Mrs. Adkins was preceded in death by her son James Wallace Adkins.
