Rosemary Sheppard Guy Washington

Warrenton, GA – Mrs. Rosemary Sheppard Guy Washington, age 65, widow of Mr. David Charles Washington, entered into rest Saturday, November 12, 2022 at her residence.  Rosemary was the daughter of the late Mr. Buford Lamar Sheppard and Mrs. Martha Brown Sheppard.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at Culverton Baptist Church, Hancock County, with Elaine Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Washington was born in Hancock County but lived all her adult life in Warren County.  She retired from Augusta Sportswear after many years of service and was a member of Camak Baptist Church

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Dean McCook, Angela Sheppard Gray and Regina Washington, and a brother Joseph Lamar Sheppard.  Survivors include her daughter, Brandi Leigh Hopson of Thomson; two sisters, Brenda Anglin and husband Jerry of Thomaston, Georgia and Sharon Sheppard of Gibson; and two grand dogs, Jasper and Sporty.

Pallbearers will be John Wood, Chris Cason, Daniel Phillips, David Lyons, Jamie Daniels and Billy Gray.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a humane society of ones choice.
