Mitchell, GA -  Mrs. Mary Carlton Kent age 94, wife of the late Mr. James Buford Kent of GA Highway 102 entered into rest Wednesday, March 31, 2021.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday April 2, 2021 at the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery 6839 Old Mitchell Road Mitchell, GA 30820 with Rev. Mark Kent officiating.

Mrs. Kent was born in Augusta, GA December 6, 1926 the daughter of the late Alma Hillegeist Carlton  and Thaddeus Mack Carlton. She was a longtime resident of Glascock County and a Episcopalian.

Survivors include a Adopted son and special nephew, Larry (Lynn) Kent of Gibson; one sister, Betty Stambaugh Cochrane of Peoria, AZ and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Kent, Nathan Kent, Matt Kent, Greg Kent, Branson Kent, Jr., Kendall Simons, and Donald Kent.

The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

Because of Mary's love for children, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Mason Burnett Fund C/O Queensborough National Bank and Trust P.O. Box 467 Louisville, GA 30434.
