Warrenton/ Camak, Georgia – Mrs. Jolene Thelma Whitaker, age 94, entered into rest on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Gibson Health and Rehabilitation. She was the beloved daughter of the late Whitney Crosland and Cornelia Crosland.

Born in Camden, South Carolina, Jolene spent her early years in Winnsboro before marrying the love of her life, Mr. Ronald Whitaker. Together they made their home in Harlem for many years, building a life rooted in family, faith, and quiet devotion. In her later years, she moved to Warrenton, where she lived with her daughter Patricia and continued to be surrounded by love and care.

Jolene was a homemaker and a proud Baptist by faith. She found joy in the simple, peaceful things that filled her days—reading, working puzzles, word searches, and cross‑stitching with the steady hands of someone who had spent a lifetime creating beauty in small, meaningful ways. She was known for her gentle spirit and her giving heart. If you ever met her, you remembered her; she had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and cared for. Jolene always put others before herself, and her kindness left a lasting imprint on everyone, fortunate enough to cross her path.

She is survived by her daughter, Patty Brunk and husband Marvin of Warrenton; her son, Bobby David Street and wife Jeanie of Jenkinsville, South Carolina; her sister, Mary Lagrand of Winnsboro, South Carolina; along with numerous grandchildren and great‑grandchildren who carry her legacy forward.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald Whitaker; her daughter, Kathie Reid; and her son, Perry Street, Sr.
