Mr. James B. Johnson Retired, Georgia DOT WARRENTON, GA – Mr. James B. (J.B.) Johnson, age 78, beloved husband of Mrs. Judy Kitchens Johnson of East Warrenton Road died Wednesday October 24, 2012 at University Hospital – McDuffie. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Johnson Cemetery with Rev. Jim Hanna officiating. Mr. Johnson a native of Warren County, GA was the son of the late Mr. Thomas Louie and Lillian Hadden Johnson. J. B. grew up and attended school in Warrenton. After graduating, he attended Middle Georgia College in Cochran and then earned a degree in civil engineering from Georgia Tech and began a career that spanned 34 years with the Georgia Department of Transportation in Atlanta. J. B. leaves behind his wife of 49 years, Judy Kitchens Johnson, mother-in-law, Julia Kitchens, one brother– in–law, Al Kitchens, one sister-in-law, Diane Roberts and numerous nieces and nephews. Three sisters preceded Mr. Johnson in death. The family will receive friends at the residence.
