Iona Fouch

Thomson- Mrs. Iona Fouch, 75, of Stagecoach Rd. entered into rest Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at University Hospital Augusta.

Mrs. Fouch was a native of Wilkes county, but had lived in Thomson most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Lenard Cooper and Vera Agnes May.  Iona worked at Uniroyal as a seamstress for many years, after which she became a homemaker.  Mrs. Fouch was a Baptist by faith.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.  You could often find Iona fishing, or in her yard gardening.

Mrs. Fouch was predeceased by her parents; son, Edward Garfield Richardson, Jr.; daughter, Dorothy Jane Richardson; brother, George Cooper; sister, Edna Murphy; and granddaughter Wynter Raine Richardson.

Survivors include her daughters, Janice Howell (Christopher Reynolds, Sr.) and Patricia Keeling; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of life will be held 2 O'clock, Monday, July 5th, 2021 at Second Chance Independent Church 1152 Hillcrest Drive Thomson, Georgia 30824, with the Rev. Charles E. Reese officiating.
