Gibson, Glascock County – Mr. Frank Harold Griswell, age 67, beloved husband of Mrs. Suzanne Direnzo Griswell, entered into rest on Friday, August 7, 2026, at his residence. He was the son of the late Moses Griswell, Jr. and Frankie Chalker Griswell.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Magnolia Baptist Church Cemetery with Deacon Gerry Kazin officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the grave.

Born on August 4, 1959, in Washington County, Harold spent his entire life in the close‑knit community of Gibson, a place he cherished and never wished to leave. A proud 1978 graduate of Glascock County Consolidated School, Harold began his working career in 1979 with H.P. Pelzer, serving faithfully in outdoor maintenance. In 2001, he continued that same line of work with Hoover Treated Wood Products until his retirement in 2010. His dedication, reliability, and quiet work ethic were well known by all who worked alongside him.

Harold was a man who found joy in simple, meaningful things. He loved the outdoors and tractors and could often be found hunting, fishing, or simply taking in the peacefulness of the land he called home. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family. His easygoing nature, steady presence, and genuine kindness made him someone people naturally gravitated toward.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 36 years, Suzanne Direnzo Griswell of Gibson; his daughter, Lauren Griswell of Gibson; his sister, Tricia Albright (John) of Mitchell; sister‑in‑law, Diane Austin (David) of Canfield, Ohio; brother‑in‑law, Jeffrey Direnzo of Thomson; aunts, Betty Johnson of Athens, and Wilma Mathis of Gibson; uncle Sam Griswold of Mitchell; and a host of nieces, nephews, great‑nieces, great‑nephews, and friends who will forever hold his memory close.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Chalker, John Albright, Leonard Knotts, Jeffrey Chalker, John Raley, and Ben Hadden.
