Mrs. Elizabeth Huff Abbott Retired School Teacher Warrenton, GA – Mrs. Elizabeth Huff Abbott, age 87, beloved wife of the late Mr. Julian W. Abbott of Hill Street died Saturday April 6, 2013 at Weddington Park Assisted Living Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 11, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church of Warrenton with the Revs. Susannah Davis, Ted Miller, and Jim Hanna officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Cemetery. Mrs. Abbott will lie in state one hour prior to funeral services at the church. Mrs. Abbott was the daughter of the late Charles and Leila Huff. She was a graduate of Georgia Womens College and a retired school teacher having taught in Hancock, Warren and McDuffie Counties. Mrs. Abbott was a active member of the First United Methodist Church serving as a Sunday School Teacher and Church Pianist. In addition, Mrs. Abbott was a member of the Warrenton Bridge Club. Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Betsy Abbott and Charles Tillman, Sr., of Indian Trail, NC, her son and daughter in law, Charles Vinceson,Sr. and Merrianna Abbott of Greenville, NC, one sister, Dotie (Ed) Menger, of Milledgeville, GA, four grandchildren, Charles (Angela) Tillman, Jr., Andrew Tillman, Holly Tillman (Brad) Wahab, Charles Abbott, Jr., three great grandchildren, Ethan Wahab, Katie Wahab, Nathan Tillman. Pallbearers will be Charlie Tillman, Jr. Andy Tillman, Brad Wahab, Charles Abbott, Jr. Hunter Reese, and Johnny Mack Coxwell. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. Wednesday evening at Lowe Funeral Home.
