Lowe Funeral Home, 77 W Gibson St. Warrenton, Georgia (706) 465-3333. From Communion: A SONG OF SPRING Oh, bless the god who bade me sing About the blessings of sweet spring! Of sunlit meadows, green and bright And strewn with flowers laved in light, Of folds of fleece lambs at play All gently fondled by the day, Of cotton clouds up in the sky, And silent specter wafting by, Of rippling river plying prone, Of lazy lizards on a stone, Of robins singing in the trees, And of happy hymns of busy bees; Of leaflets fresh as morning dew, And youth embracing all I view... Of gentle sunsets, sad and still, And wailings of a Whipporwill... O God, If loving these be wrong, Then I offend my soul with song, Though loving life and being free, Is all that heaven means to me!
