Mr. Edgar W. Thigpen BORN: November 18, 1928 DIED: September 7, 2013 LOCATION: Cochran, Georgia Funeral services for Edgar Wynn Thigpen, 84, Cochran, who died Saturday, September 7, 2013, at the Medical Center of Central Georgia, will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 10:00 a.m., in the chapel of Fisher Funeral Home. Burial will be the Johnson Cemetery Warren County, Georgia. Mr. Thigpen was a native of Warren County, GA, son of the late George Manor and Kate Darden Thigpen, widow of the late Louise Fordham Thigpen. He was a retired truck driver, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in WW II and was a member of Southside Baptist Church. Survivors are: daughter, Kim Wenzelle, Marietta; grandson, Derick (Jessica) Smith, Lizella.
