Mrs. Darlene Hadden Williams Registrar: Glascock County Board of Education GIBSON, GA - Mrs. Darlene Hadden Williams, age 54, of Beall Springs Road Gibson entered in to rest Monday morning September 23, 2013 at the residence of her parents. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the Bethel United Methodist Church with the Revs. Brian George and Tommy Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Williams will lie in state one hour prior to funeral services at the church. Mrs. Williams a lifelong resident of Glascock County, GA was the daughter of Mr. Lester L. Hadden and the late Mrs. Barbara Sheppard Hadden. She was a graduate of Sandersville Tech and worked with the Glascock County Board of Education as the school registrar. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. Darlene was a special daughter, sister, mother and nana to her grandchildren whom she dearly loved. She touched many lives and is now resting in the arms of her eternal father. Survivors include her parents, Lester and Betty Jo Hadden, Warrenton, two sons, Randy (Michelle) Williams and David Williams, both of Gibson, two sisters, Angie ( Stanley) Phillips, Gibson, Becky (Paul) Lowe, Warrenton, two brothers, DeWayne(Lynn) Wood, and John (Joan) Wood both of Warrenton, and four grandchildren, Jason, Chelsea, Anna and Emma. Pallbearers will be Lane Hadden, John Raley, Jim Holton, Gregg Kelley, Kenneth Sheppard, Jim Sheppard, Cecil Sheppard, and Mike Cole. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Glascock Board of Education. Friends may begin calling at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday at Sheppard Funeral Home in Gibson and the family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening.
