Bradley Hale Thigpen

WARRENTON, GA - Mr. Bradley Hale "Brad" Thigpen age 43, son of Mr. & Mrs. Robert "Bobby" Fulton Thigpen, Jr. entered into rest Tuesday October 11, 2022 in Ft. Myers, FL.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 16, 2022, at the chapel located at the residence of Buddy and Denise Dallas, 4834 Highway 171 North, Gibson, Georgia 30810, with the Revs. Tony Mimbs and Susannah Davis officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in the family lot at Johnson Cemetery.

Brad, a lifelong resident of Warrenton, was a 1997 graduate of Briarwood Academy where he holds the career rushing record in football of 7,370 yards.  He was also a 2002 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a BS in Criminal Justice.  A member of the First Baptist Church of Warrenton, Brad will be remembered for his love of family, friends, golf, Briarwood, and Georgia Tech football. He also enjoyed traveling all over the world.

In addition to his parents, survivors include two brothers, Trey Thigpen of Dacula; Dr. Beau (Brinsley) Thigpen of Augusta; paternal grandparents, Fulton & Annette Thigpen of Norwood; nieces, Lucy, Kate, & Jane Fulton; nephew, Callaway; aunt, Vickie Thigpen; uncles, Jimmy (Elaine) Griswell and Lewis (Jean) Thigpen and numerous cousins.  Brad was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Helen Duckworth Thigpen and maternal grandparents, George & Tip Griswell.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Johnson, Nate Williams, Brad Barnett, Bob Dye, Clyde Harper, Andy Shelton, Tom Bourne, & Drew Wynn.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the Bridges of Hope 2845 Jackie Snider Trail Stapleton, GA 30823.

Friends may call at the residence of Bobby & Janice Thigpen, 47 Buena Vista Ave Warrenton.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Saturday evening at Lowe Funeral Home.
