Mitchell - Mr. Bobby Ray Toulson, Sr., age 91, of Mitchell, entered into rest on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Long Creek Baptist Church with Dr. Bill Eckles and Rev. Chad Crews officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Toulson will lie in state for one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary.

A native of Warren County, Mr. Ray, was the son of the late Marvin Rudolph Toulson and Erma Ruth Skelley.  He retired as a Foreman of Energy Services from Medical College of Georgia.  Deeply devoted to his community, he was a lifelong active member of Long Creek Baptist Church where he served as a Chairman of Deacons and was on the Building and Grounds Committee.  Ray also was a member of the Warren County Farm Bureau.

He is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-six and half years, Mrs. Hilda Timmerman Toulson who said, "The Lord gave me the most precious gift 66 ½ years ago when I became his wife on December 20, 1959.  Nothing will be the same until God brings us together to receive his most precious gift forever.  To my love, good night sweetheart, I love you, I'll see you tomorrow."; three sons, Bobby Ray Toulson, Jr. of Dearing, Marvin Toulson and wife Tracie of Avera, and David Toulson and wife Susan of Evans; five grandchildren, Donald Toulson and wife Amber, Eric Toulson, Christina Rabun and husband Justin, Cory Bryant and wife Mary, and Julianne Bryant; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Billy Toulson, Claude Toulson, Sammy Toulson, James Toulson, Betty Ann Kitchens, Mary June Richards, and Peggy Jackson; and daughter-in-law, Donna Faye Toulson.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Jackson, George Norris, Matt Stanley, Mike McDonald, Will Chalker, Johnny Wilkerson, William Cason, and Chris Adams. Honorary Pallbearers will be Deacons of Long Creek Baptist Church.

Friends may call at the residence. The family will receive friends from 7:00– 9:00 P.M. on Wednesday evening at Lowe Funeral Home.
