Alton English "Al" Kitchens, Jr.

Mr. Alton "Al" E. Kitchens, Jr., 84, beloved husband of Mrs. Ginny Kitchens, entered into rest Monday April 18, 2022 at Piedmont Hospital in Augusta GA. He was the son of the late Alton English "Peanut" Kitchens, Sr. and Julia Moore Springs Kitchens.

Al was a lifelong resident of Warrenton and a graduate of the University of Georgia.  He was the owner of Kitchens Implement Company, a successful dry cleaners in Warrenton as well a farmer.  Mr. Kitchens was an active member and involved in Warrenton First United Methodist Church.  He was also a philanthropist to his community. He was known affectionately as "Berto" to his friends and family. Al loved his dogs, and his DAWGS.

Al leaves behind his loving wife of 62 years, Ginny Kitchens, his son Philip Kitchens; granddaughter - Molly Kitchens, and his faithful dog Whiskey.  He also leaves behind his sisters, Judy K. Johnson and Diane K.  Roberts, and his niece Stacy DeLaurier.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday April 21, 2022, at the Lowe Funeral Home.  A celebration of Al's life will be held at a later date.
