Charles Walker Swain

NORWOOD, GA - Mr. Charles Walker "Coach" Swain age 74 of Jack Ray Road entered into rest Wednesday, April 26, 2017.
Mr. Swain, a long time resident of Warren County, GA, was the son of the late Kathryn Walker Swain and Claude Milton Swain. A 1961 graduate of Warren County High School, Mr. Swain received his undergraduate and Master's degree from the University of Georgia. After graduation, Mr. Swain became a coach working at Cairo High School, University of Florida, Chipola College, and Clemson University. Upon returning back home to Norwood, Mr. Swain became involved in ground maintenance at the Augusta National Golf Club and retired from Westlake Country Club.
Survivors include his sister and brother in law, Anne Swain (Ronnie) Easler of Warrenton, two nieces, Amber Easler (Brett) Cooper, and Mandy Easler, a great niece, Mary Kathryn Cooper and a great nephew, C. J. Cooper.
Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday May 2, 2017 at 11:00 A.M.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 until the hour of service in the fellowship hall of Norwood United Methodist Church.
Friends may call at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Ronnie Easler 2011 Atlanta Highway Warrenton.
