Mr. Charles Hartwell Shivers, husband of Diane Shivers, died November 20, 2017 in Brunswick, GA. Charles was the son of Guy H. and the late Ann D. Shivers. He was born and spent most of his life in Norwood, GA. 

In addition to his wife and father he is survived by his two sons, Charles Hartwell Shivers Jr. (Krista) of Carmel,CA and John Hubert Shivers (Brandi)of Warrenton, GA,and a step daughter, Angie Baker of Brunswick, GA. Charles' grandchildren are Eve Shivers, Donalo Shivers, Vido Shivers, Victor Sanders (Kelsey), Cory Thomoson, Benjamin Thomoson, and Dustin Reese (Amanda)and a sister, Susan S. LaRue (David), five great-grand children Ryan, Elisa, Dalton, Cade, Ellie, and one Aunt Elizabeth D. Jervey. Charles had a very joyful and grateful attitude in spite of his COPD diagnosis and failing health. He loved to read, do crossword puzzles, cook and entertain. Charles was a fun person and always had a positive word to all he met and befriended. Charles attended the University of GA, he was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. He then worked in the cotton, cattle, and dairy business with his dad for 20 years.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday November 27, 2017 at 11:00 A. M. in the Sanctuary at the First United Methodist Church in Warrenton. With the Revs. Sandra Leightner, Don Richards, & Brandon Furr officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.
